My boring, yet busy life!

Nothing much has changed!  Same jobs, same house, same life!  I wish it were more exciting than that...unfortunately it's not.  We don't go out much because we have no friends, no joke. But also, we just stay sooo busy.  Jake and I are gone from about 7 am to about 7 pm...daily.  We never have time to do anything and when we do, we just chill...with each other...at home.  Verry boring!

I have been crafting in my spare time though!  I have to say it's become one of my favorite hobbies!  These are a few of my projects lately!

It has been really fun!  I now have something for every month.  I have  shelf in my living room and every month I switch it out for whatever holiday is that month.  I've enjoyed it!

As for my last post about getting fit and all..nothing has changed.  I'm still the same!  The two things I want most in life contradict each other and so it's a battle I've been playing for a while.  You wouldn't think it would be that hard.  For me it is!  Both of which are wearing on me quiet a bit and as time goes on it seems to get worse.  I'm lost I guess, confused and a little discouraged.

Here I am again!

So, here I am again.  Almost a full year later!  Jake and I are doing great.  We are just so busy with our work schedules and what not that blogging is the last thing on my mind.  A lot has happened since I was last here.  For starters, we finshed our closet!! ;)
  It only took us 9 months!

In February we had the opportunity to go to Vegas!!  We stayed with my best friend Kailani.  It was so fun.  We drove down with Amy and stayed about 4 days or so.  Did as much sight seeing as we could get in.
 


While we were down there we ran into my other friend Alexa and her husband Zach!  It was such a surprise.  We were able to hang out with them for a couple hours.  I'm so glad that we met up with them!



Most recently we bought a dog!  She has the funnest personality!  We love her so much.   She is such a fun dog to have around.  She is a stinker though (just a puppy) and finds anything and everything to get her teeth onto.  Meet Oakley! 



A couple of weeks ago we got to go to the Tim McGraw concert with Kailani!  It was fun.  That is Jake's second concert now. 




Those are the highlights of the past few months!  Nothing to big!

It's no secret I have put on a few pounds!  I'd blame it on marriage, but that's just not the case!  It comes down to pure lazyness.  The gym went from #2 on my priority list to probably about #10!  I put on a fair amount of weight, needless to say I am pissed!  It's my own dang fault!  I kept watching those numbers go up and up, did I ever do anything about it?  Not enough to change it!  I have been unhappy with myself for about a year now.  Now, the amount I want to lose seems almost impossible!  I can stick to a diet about a week, and then I eat something "bad" and I give up!  Ridiculous!  The sad thing is, I know I can do it because I have done it once before!  I think by maybe saying all this it will help motivate me to stay focused, seeing as how I have just admitted my problem.    Anyway,  I hope to post here in a few months some success!
This used to be me, fact is when I was that "little"  I wasn't happy with myself then.  Thinking back now I should have been told to just shut up because now,  I really HATE how I look!

And obviously..now!
We all now how good I am at blogging.  So hopefully the next time I do, there will be a change.  I just have to remember, it takes 4 weeks for me to notice, 8 weeks for friends and family, and 12 weeks for everyone else.  Three months is all it takes to see a change and I can't stick with even 2 weeks!  I have issues!  So, check up on me if you would like, help keep me motivated!  ;)

I suck at this blogging thing

I'm beginning to think maybe this blog thing just isn't for me.   I guess I'm just one that writes when something BIG is happening or has happened.  So here we go, recap on the last 3 months of our life!

In June we had the big Roberts family reunion up in Idaho.  It was fun, we went to Bear Lake one day, had a wood chopping contest and a few four wheeler rides!  My brother in law Kade took up his basketball hoop so there was a lot of basketball games.



July was pretty laid back, nothing too exciting happened.  Lewiston has a big Fourth of July Celebration.  At six in the morning they light off a canon, not once, not twice, but three times!  Of course we were away after that.  Headed behind our house at the city pavilion and had some breakfast then headed over to the parade.  We walked around the park and then of course came home and took a nap!  Later that night we watched the horse pulls then fireworks in our backyard!

My father in law loves hunting so at the end of August we got the opportunity to go camping up in Wyoming.  It was awesome!  Very pretty!  We found a few sheds, went hiking, just spent time with the family.  I wouldn't mind going back.  This is Jake at the lake, there is not a lot of pictures from this trip.

 

Also in August we were able to go to the Brigham City Temple open house.  It was beautiful!  This is a picture of the Nielsen side.  These are the girls!

Last but not least, Jake and I just celebrated our 1 year anniversary.  Really didn't do anything.  Our minds were concentrated on something else.  Something better!  Jake and I got sealed on Sept. 15, 2012 in the Logan, Utah Temple.  It is the most amazing thing to know that Jake and I will be together for time and all eternity.  We had a little get together at our house after.  It was so good to be surrounded by the people that mean the most to us.  I am so glad to know that Jake and I will have an eternal family.  I'm so thankful for the church and what it has done for me.  '



As for our house, it's coming a long.  Having our little get together over at our house after was just enough motivation to finish painting (it's only takin several months).  It's looking good.  Our walk in closet is coming along and I suppose I'll take some pictures of our house once that is all done. 

I've been slacking!!

So.... I don't even know when the last time I was on here.  It has been a very long time and a lot has happened! For starters....we decided to look at houses, we ended up putting and offer on one that day.  Kind of by impulse, we didn't know if what we had done was a very good idea.  Jake had a few days where he didn't know if we should have done it.  I was so happy and excited from day one.  It turned out everything was working in our favor.  I'm so impatient and waiting 6 weeks to close on this house has been a struggle!  But we got it, and we have lived in it about 3 weeks now.  We absolutely love it!! It's in the middle of the great Lewiston City!  I'm am in the process of painting it right now... it's very tedious!  Here are a few pictures of what it looked like before we bought it..I will post "after" pictures (that might take a few months).

That was the biggest thing that has happened to us this year.  We are so excited to have our own house!

Jake and I are doing great!  We couldn't be happier.  We're both working at the same place and just enjoying life!  Our new ward is so great, they are so friendly and we love it!  Just a few other things that have happened lately- Jake was working on his grandpa's car and it rolled of the ramps and onto him.  Ended up getting six stiches in his forhead!  He also got himself a new car because he decided to junk his Mercedes (1985 Honda Accord).  It was on it's way to die for good.  We finished our temple prep classes in our last ward and are planning to get sealed in September.  Very excited and anxious for that!  Other than that, nothing else is going on!   

Here's to 2012!

 My best friend Kailani came home for Christmas!  It was soo good to see her.  We can go months with out seeing each other then when we do it's the same everytime, just as if she had never left.  Although, she wasn't here long enough, But we had a good time while she was.

 Jake and I had a good new years, we went over to one of his old co-workers house and had a little party!  Needless to say, it is very hard for us to stay up till midnight.  Our bed time is around ten o clock every night, I wake up early and Jake just likes his sleep.  I figure I'm going to take full advantage of it until I have kids, I hear you dont get any sleep once you add them into your family.

Just a few pictures of the night!!  It was a great year, one I will never forget.  So many things happened, good and bad.  But the best part was that I married my best friend!;)

   This year things are hopefully really gonna change for us.  We are going to be starting Temple Prep. classes here pretty soon and working on going to the temple.  I'm actually kind of nervous, axious, and excited all at the same time.  It's such a big deal and a huge commitment.  Thank goodness I have Jake to stand by my side.  I am so ready to be sealed to him for eternity! We're also going to work really hard on getting out of debt and get set up so we can buy a house with in the next couple of years (having to buy a new car kind of set us back a little.)

Christmas is already over..

 Well I always build up the excitement for Christmas, I think I forget how fast it comes and goes.  It was mine and Jake's first Christmas together.  It was so fun, I think it's safe to say we both got spoiled;)  Not only did he spoil me, but his grandpararents and parents as well.  Jake woke up about 6 o clock and would not go back to sleep, he was so anxious just like a little kid to see what else he had gotten.  I would have been fine to sleep for another 2 hours or so.  We both woke up though...AT SIX and had our own little Christmas.  It was so fun!

    After we were done, we headed out to his parents and exchanged with them.  Hung out for a little while then headed over to my parents!  It was such a fun day, I can't wait to have many more Christmas's with my Jake.  He is so amazing!

I've figured it's been a while, I'm bored, must catch up!

So...A LOT has happened since I last wrote.  I'll just start from where I remember haha.  Well, for starters,  November 12 was Jake's cousin Tyler's wedding.  Was a good day..until..I got in my car wreck.  I was on the highway from Wellsville to Mendon that goes by Willow Valley and a big van pulled out in front of me.  Scarriest thing I have ever been through!  I was driving, thank goodness Jake was with me.  I'm sure he wishes everytime he drives that he was that day because now, I have  HUGE driving anxiety.  I am not exaggerating!  I'm always telling him to slow down and watch out for that car.  It drives him insane!

It looks worse in person!  It did just over 6,000 dollars worth of damage,  I thank my lucky stars that my airbags did NOT go out.  It would have been a lot worse.  On the bright side...I got me a Toyota 4-Runner!  My new baby!  I love this vehicle. 

This is her!  We got such an awesome deal on it and Jake is much happier because I'm "safer" and it's four wheel drive.  That has probably been one of my biggest highlights this fall.

I just love this time of year.  It's my favorite!  For Thanksgiving we went to Jake's Grandma Nielsen's house.  My parents and my mom's mom tagged along this year so they wouldn't be alone.  It was really nice, although I just have to say I'm not a big fan of Thanksgiving.  It's just not my favorite.  I have yet to decide why, but I just don't care for it. Sorry, no pictures. 

Christmas however is coming up.  I am such a little kid when it comes to Christmas.  I love buying gifts for people and seeing their face when they get to open it.  The trouble is if I tell them what they're getting before they actually get it.  I have a hard time keeping that kind of secret, I get too excited.  I am also way excited for this year because it's me and Jake's first Christmas officially.  I mean we had Christmas together last year, but he got me a snuggie....I mean come on! ;)  I'm never gonna let him live that one down.  I'm already past the point I think where I have already spoiled him...I still have about 20 days left!  I came home one night and he was online looking at shoes, he asked me if I liked this one pair, I said yes.  He then asked me what size I was and pulled out his wallet.  He ordered them!  So I have been checking the mail everyday for the past 10 days and they finally came.  Of course I opened the box even though I probably wasn't supposed to, that's like telling Jake to clean the toilet,  It's just not going to happen!  So I tried them on, even picked out a cute outfit that would go with them, and like the responsible person I am, I wrapped them all pretty!  Jake got home and asked where his gift was..I told him I wrapped it.  He got mad because he didn't even get to see it and he bought them, so I unwrapped them and showed him and now I have to wrap them again.  I had done such a good job wrapping.  I was not that upset to try them on again though;)  I have wrapped all our presents under our tree, just about done;)

Our first Christmas Tree!  The color scheme is just based off of our wedding colors.  We actually had Christmas ornamaments in our centerpieces!

So I've been trying to lose weight..eating better and all that!  This time of year is not a good time for that, well it is, it's just ten times harder.   I was going to the Logan Rec Center, decided I didn't like that and now I'm thinking I'm just going to go back to Planet Fitness.  I liked that gym a lot!  In the mean time, I've been doing these in home workouts, they actually really are a work out.  I've been getting them off pinterest.com and I go to the fitness section, they have a lot of good recepies (that I have yet to try)  and they also have lots of motivational pictures.  If your not motivated go take a look because about twenty minutes later chances are you'll be on the floor working on something.  I keep asking Jake, if this is as good as it gets for you will that be okay.  Of course he says "Your beautiful the way you are."  How sweet..haha but it's just more than that for me!  Working out and eating healthy I just feel so much better!  They say it takes about 4 weeks for you to notice, 8 weeks for your friends to notice and 12 weeks for everyone else!  Bring it on!
